Every year, we visit well more than a dozen design shows and expos around the world, from the High Point Market, in a small North Carolina town, to the IFFT show in bustling Tokyo, Japan. At every stop, we have a showroom space where we display all our existing products, along with items that we’ve just introduced, and even ideas that we’re tinkering with to bring to market.
Before every show, our team is tasked with designing the showroom, and laying out all our products. In some cases, we’ve been at the tradeshow before and have our spot from the previous time we were there, giving us a head start. Other times, we have to start from scratch, working with a blank canvas and installing decals, wallpaper, and fixtures to make our space feel more welcoming. Check out this shot of our team during early-stage setup for our 2017 IFFT Japan show in Tokyo.
At these events, our main goal is to secure orders from retailers, which can range from national chains to one-of-a-kind boutique shops. Beyond buyers, we’re always talking people within the industry, fellow exhibitors, and any other guests that may be in attendance. We’re typically there all day for several consecutive days, so we try to enjoy it a little. Here’s two of our guys, Steffan and Steve, having a bit of fun.
At the 2017 BDNY Trade Show this past November, at the famed Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan, we were able to create a showroom that we were very proud of. It featured our now-signature wall of Navy Master Clocks, floating ceiling decor, and a great product lineup. Ultimately, our showing resulted in being awarded as the Best Exhibit of the show. Here are a couple snapshots from last year’s BDNY.
We really enjoy taking part in things like this, and showing off our unique one-of-kind products. In fact, at the time of this publishing we’re at the International Gift & Home Furnishings market in Atlanta. We’re always on the move, so reach out to us wherever we may be next!
